And here it is… my favorite photo of 2022. This is the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Spain, captured the morning after my arrival and completion of my first camino de Santiago in early October. While I think the photo stands on its own merits, for me personally it also carries a sense of accomplishment after the long walk through the Spanish countryside.
I say that this was the completion of my first camino because I fully intend for it not to be my last. Though it may be a long while before I have to free time to embark on another pilgrimage, I fully intend to do so at my soonest ability.
