The Magnificent Gateway

Geologist John Allen called the Columbia River Gorge the magnificent gateway in his 1979 book about this geological marvel. The cover of that book even featured an image from this very vantage point.

It’s hard to verbally do justice to the beauty of the diverse and scenic 80-mile long canyon of the Columbia River. It runs from rainforest to high desert and every stage in between.

Prints of this image are available in various formats at RedBubble.
